In addition, we will examine the ethical and regulatory considerations essential for the responsible deployment of AI.   • Gregory Lewkowicz

    Prof. at Université Libre de Bruxelles & Director of the Global Law Program of the Perelman Center of the Faculty of Law and Criminology

    Gregory Lewkowicz is a professor at Université libre de Bruxelles and director of the Smart Law Hub at the Perelman Center. He is a principal researcher at the Institute of Artificial Intelligence for the Common Good (FARI), focusing on the intersections of law and digital technologies (SMART Law), global and transnational law, and contemporary transformations in legal professions. Gregory leads the "Penser le droit" collection at Bruylant publishers and oversees the Brussels Bar Observatory. He serves on the advisory board of AI4Belgium and the digital pole of the Club des juristes (Paris), and chaired the European Incubator of the Brussels Bar from 2017 to 2022.

    Founder Hippo AI Foundation

    Bart de Witte, with two decades of experience in leading roles at healthcare technology giants such as IBM, is committed to ethical, open digital innovations that improve global access to healthcare. As founder of the Hippo AI Foundation and member of major scientific bodies, including the Aspetar Sports Medicine Hospital and the FIFA Medical Centre of Excellence in Qatar, he promotes more equitable healthcare systems through knowledge sharing. He advises the WHO, is the UN Secretary-General's technology envoy and teaches at various European business schools to pass on his expertise.

  • Holger Hoos

    Alexander von Humboldt Professor in AI, Co-founder and Chair of the Board of CLAIRE, Co-Chair of the Board of Directors of the AI Center at RWTH Aachen University

    Holger H. Hoos holds an Alexander von Humboldt professorship in AI at RWTH Aachen University (Germany), where he also leads the AI Center, as well as a professorship in machine learning at Universiteit Leiden (the Netherlands) and an adjunct professorship in computer science at the University of British Columbia (Canada). He is a Fellow of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM), the Association for the Advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AAAI) and the European AI Association (EurAI), past president of the Canadian Association for Artificial Intelligence, former editor-in-chief of the Journal of Artificial Intelligence Research (JAIR) and chair of the board of CLAIRE, an organisation that seeks to strengthen European excellence in AI research and innovation (claire-ai.org).
